Autumn Term - Inquiry: Cynefin - Belonging

During Autumn term we have learnt about belonging to Wales and what other countries our friends in class, belong to.  On our Immersion day we learnt Hungarian and Welsh dancing.

We talked about the homes we belong to. We went for a walk to see what kind of houses are around school. We made different houses in the construction area and painted them in the creative area.

We talked about things that are the same about us and our friends. We looked at hair colour, eye colour, height and skin colour.

At the end of our topic we learnt about different celebrations. We learnt about Christmas and what it means to Christians. We had a school trip to see Father Christmas at Cardiff castle and finished the topic with a Nativity show for parents.

Next Term: we will be learning more about Wales and we will be making some Welsh cakes. For, talk for writing, we will be reading Postman bear and making our own stories to record. In P.E we will learn Welsh traditional dancing.
